Children start school at the age of six in Germany. The first day of school is very important. Children wear their best clothes and invite all their relatives to celebrate. Children receive a large cardboard cone called a Schultüte on their first day. It is filled with lollies, small toys and things needed at school. The school days starts at around 7.30 am in Germany and primary students usually finish the day between 12 and 1 pm. German school students don't wear a school uniform. Is the school day in Germany shorter or longer than in Australia? ____________
