Fellowships, Scholarships and Sponsored Programs
DEECD provides opportunities for staff to learn and grow through the development experiences offered through the leadership and management programs listed below.
Future Summit 2009 - the Australian Davos Connection - The Future Summit 2009 will be held in Melbourne during May. The Summit brings together current and emerging leaders to discuss key issues that will enhance Australia’s standing in the world economy and improve the quality of life for all Australians. Department sponsorships will be announced early in the year.
ANZSOG - Executive Master of Public Administration
This is a two year part time Masters program for VPSG5 and VPSG6 officers. The Department scholarship details will be released in April. (www.anzsog.edu.au)
Julia Flynn Leadership Program
This is DEECD leadership program for women at VPSG4 & VPSG5 levels .
ANZSOG – Executive Fellows Program
This is a three week residential program for senior executives held in October / November each year. Details of the Department scholarship will be available in June. (www.anzsog.edu.au)
Williamson Community Leadership Program
The Williamson Community Leadership Program is a year long program run by Leadership Victoria. Commencing in February each year the program brings together a group of up to 36 people from the public, business and community sectors to experience a rigorous, challenging and life enriching year of seminars, visits, field trips and lectures. Details of DEECD scholarship will be released in August.
The Cranlana Foundation delivers a leadership program for Executive Officers and as separate program for VPS staff. Each program aims to enhance the capacity of leaders at all levels to exercise ethical and effective judgement.
