Learning and development is important to the Department because it supports the VPS staff and Executive Officers in their work and builds career pathways by broadening their skills, knowledge and experience.

The training calendars list the development programs for VPS staff and Executive Officers. Also included is the Program and Services Advisors (PASA) calendar for VPS staff in the Office for Children and Early Childhood Development.

Conferences, forums, lunch seminars and workshops on a variety of topics ranging from leadership to governance are held throughout the year. These events provide network opportunities and add to skills, knowledge and experience of participants.
