Career Development

The career development programs listed are tailored for DEECD audience.

  • Career Development Initiative for VPS @ DEECD was developed to provide a framework to assist managers and staff with the Goal Setting Section of the Performance Enhancement Cycle (PEC).
    In reviewing ways to best support staff and managers through a career discussion a number of Prompt Questions (Word - 28Kb) were developed to assist the process.  The prompt questions are designed to guide discussions around the Goal Setting Section of the PEC.

  •  VPS Mentor Program 2010 is suitable for VPSG 1-4 staff seeking to be matched with more experienced staff who would provide them with the support in career learning through work experiences. The Program commences in April each year with about 30 pairs of mentees and mentors.

  • Career Enhancement Initiative for Women VPSG 1-4
    The third Career Enhancement Initiative for Women VPSG1 - 4 Workshop is to be held on the 12 and 19 October 2009. Due to some staff having to pull out of the program there are now a number of vacancies for this Workshop. It is essential that interested staff lodge their interest no later than cob Monday 5 October. The July and August Workshops were very successful as validated by the enthusiastic feedback from participants.  Further Workshops are planned for 2010 and staff will be advised accordingly.
