Parental Leave/Absence
Parental absence/leave is available to a staff member to care for his/her child/children.
Eligible employees may access forms of paid parental leave including pre-natal, maternity, paternity/partner and adoption leave.
Generally, unpaid parental absence/leave is approved where the staff member is to be the primary caregiver.
For a staff member employed fixed term any form of parental absence/leave cannot continue beyond the date employment would otherwise have ceased.
